Hamburger Supreme Casserole

Here's an all-in-one dish that will make more than one drool! Minced beef, french fries, melted cheese: the whole family will love them!

* Ingredients :
° 15 ml  canola oil
° 675g (about 1 1/2 pounds) lean ground beef
° 1 chopped onion
° 15 ml (1 tablespoon) steak seasoning
° 30 ml (2 tablespoons) butter
° 30 ml (2 tablespoons) flour
° 250 ml (1 cup) 2% milk
° 200g grated yellow cheddar cheese (about 1/2 pound)
° Salt and pepper to taste
° 1 Bag of Spiral Potatoes (Maken Type) 650 g
For appetizers:
° 12 cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters
° 1/2 small red onion, chopped
° Few shredded green lettuce leaves
Shredded pickles, to taste (optional)
° To prepare the sauce:
° 60 ml (1/4 cup) mayonnaise
° 60 ml ketchup
° 15 ml (1 tablespoon) old mustard
° 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) smoked paprika

* Preparation :

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
In saucepan, heat oil on heat. Cook ground beef, flipping meat with a wooden spoon, for 5 to 7 minutes, until it loses its pink color.
Add onions and spices. Cook for 1 minute. Reserve on a plate.
In the same washed saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sprinkle with flour and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
Pour the milk into the saucepan. Bring mix to boil when whisk.
Add cheese and stir until melted.
Returning beef mix to pot. Season with salt & pepper & stir.
Pour the mixture into a 20 cm (8 in) square baking dish. Top with fried potatoes. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the sauce ingredients.
Garnish the pot from the oven with cherry tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, and pickles, if desired. Served with sauce.
