RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLY PEACH COBBLER


This American classic can be made all year round using canned peaches. In this case, the step of cooking peaches in a pan with sugar is omitted.

* Ingredients
° 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 80 g
° 5 yellow peaches, sliced ​​750 g
° 1 cup sugar 200 g
° 1 tablespoon lemon, squeezed and half a lemon
° 1 c white flour (all-purpose) 130 g
° 1 tablespoon baking powder (baking powder) 8 g
° 1 pinch of salt 0.1 g
° 2/3 cup part-skim milk, 20 ml
° 1 pinch nutmeg

* methods :
Preheat oven to 175°C/350°F. Put the butter in a 22x33 cm baking dish and place in the oven for a few minutes until the butter melts.
Add the peach slices and about a third of the sugar and lemon juice to a saucepan and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes, until the sugar dissolves and the peach juice comes out. Remove from fire and reserve.
In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Stir in milk until homogeneous. Pour mixture into baking dish, over melted butter, without mixing but smoothing into an even layer.
Pour the peach juice on the dough. Sprinkle nutmeg on the face.
Baking in center of oven until golden, about 40 min.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
